Monday, June 2. These photos were taken on the day when I went to the airport, on behalf of China Charities Federation, to take delivery of the 100 Lifeboxes and 4 boxes of LifeStraws.

The boxes were then trucked from the airport to the Donated Materials Center of Chengdu's Chenghua district for temporary storage. Chenghua district provided two officials to help me clear customs and Quality inspection, and also the trucks to bring them back to the district's warehouse.

Chenghua District is mandated by the government to offer comprehensive assistance to PengZhou City's two towns - Bailu and Xinxing, where earliler Shelter Box's team had distributed 100 of their boxes. The pairing arrangement worked to our advantage; it solved our storage and transportation problems.
