On Saturday 30th of May we conducted a successful second round, "District Assembly North" in Beijing. In China we have some unique challenges, not only due to language, our extremely multicultural expat clubs, but also a vast territory with just a sprinkling of clubs.
This creates some daunting challenges for training and so we have for a second year in a row conducted two District Training Assemblies - one in Shanghai and one in Beijing, in order to maximize the number of Rotarians - and Rotaract leaders who can be trained up for the year ahead.
Grant Management Seminar - "North"
Following the District Assembly, we also held a second Grant Management Seminar, also to prepare up a core of club leaders able to conduct Global Grants with support from the Rotary Foundation in the year ahead.
Presidents Elect Training Seminar - "North"
And finally for those 3 souls with the stamina to endure another 2 hours of intense training, we gave a concentrated Presidents-Elect training session to newly installed PE Graham from Chengdu and the Presidents of our Fellowships of Rotarians and Friends in Dalian and Tianjin, Robert Ploeger and Michael Ho.
We are expecting wonderful results from all three clubs in the new Rotary year.
