New Ambassadorial Scholar Selected

We were happy to learn today that Miss
WU Jiuli our candidate from Sichuan province was selected by the
Rotary Foundation for an Ambassadorial Scholarship in 2009-10. She
has been selected in the competitive “Low Income Country”
scholarship category and designated to study in Griffith University
in Australia.
GSE 2008-9 with Pakistan & Afghanistan
The Rotary Foundation has informed us
today that The General Secretary has approved a two-week, one-way
GSE from D-3270 (Afghanistan and Pakistan) to the Beijing Club of
China. The agreed upon dates are:
Arrival in Beijing on 28 March, 2009
Departure from Beijing on 11 April, 2009
This will certainly be a historic and memorable GSE for all participants.
