PDG Dipo C. Sani
Past District Governor 1999-2000
District 3450 (Hong Kong, Macau and Mongolia)
Dipo Sani is a Director of Hindustan Trading Co., Ltd., a family business started in 1950 that specializes in the manufacture and export of men’s fashion garments. An American Citizen born in India before its partition, he is a graduate of St. Joseph’s College, Hong Kong.
He first joined the Rotary Club of Daytona Beach, Florida, USA in 1971. However he left Rotary after he returned to Hong Kong in 1975 and only re-joined Rotary in 1987 as a Charter member of the Rotary club of Kowloon Golden Mile. He served as their 4th president during the year 1990-1991.
Since then he has served Rotary District 3450 as a Governor’s Special Representative; Assistant Governor; Governor Elect and District Governor for the year 1999-2000
On an International level he was the Rotary International President Special Representative at District 3780 -District Conference in 2002. He is currently the assistant Chair of the PolioPlus Partners Task Force Asia II (Zones 4 and 9). He is also a member of the 2007-2008 Rotary China Team –Club Extension.
Mr. Sani is a vice-president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and currently serves on their Board of Governors. He was also a former Chairman of the Textile Committee and the Trade & Investment Committee.
He is married and lives with his Ann Renuka, their two children and grandson in Hong Kong.
